A 57-year-old Charlottetown woman has been charged with impaired driving.

Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Capital Drive on Sept. 16 at about 8:35 p.m.

When the vehicle was located, it was determined the driver was impaired by alcohol.

The accused will appear in provincial court at a later date.

Charlottetown police encourages the public to report any instances of impaired driving by calling 911.
