WEATHER: TUESDAY, April 24 – Sun again, very warm

Canada is calling for a warm sunny day today, with a high temperatures just a few degrees short of the all-time record and naerly twice the average high for this date.

Today marks two milestones on the annual weather calendar. It is the first day of the year that the total length of official daylight is 14 hours. It is also the first time in the year that the day’s first light appears before 5 a.m.Tomorrow the forecast is calling for sun and warmth again.

The Confederation Bridge is currently open to all traffic, with no warnings.

FlyPEI shows all flights into and out of Charlottetown are on schedule today.  Check the airport web site for updates.

On P.E.I. today, early morning temperatures ranged from a high of +4.2 at both North Cape and Stanhope, to a low of 0.3 at Maple Plains.
